Description: The encounter is usually like a climbing plant. Is a plant with thorns. The first year has only cards, While the second flowers and fruits, the well-known blackberries. Its leaves are bipinnate, consist of 3 or 5 hairy and hard leaflets the taste of the leaves is astringent.
Parts used: Parched leaves.

The plant is very prevalent in bushy areas and forests across Europe. In Greece is found in the wild on walls and fences. The leaves are picked in June to August and are dried in the shade or in the Sun.
Periechoyn tannin and used against diarrhea and to soften the infected mucous membranes of the throat and mouth. This last action is very strong.
Use: Used as decoction (in 1 litre of cold water, add a handful of leaves and boil for 2-3 minutes) against diarrhea. Also for gargling or oral polyseis to infection of the throat or oral but in this case it is not too drastic. It is also used as a poultice on wounds.
