There are too many types of lettuce: green leaf lettuce, green kale, red leaf or curly, The Aigner (iceberg), Romana lettuce etc.. All are varieties of the same species, του Lactuca sativa.
The cultivation of lettuce can be done all the time, but most varieties grown from autumn until spring. The summer can be grown varieties the leaves forming heads. Their cultivation takes about 4 – 6 weeks, except Aigner and Romana are holding more.
