FRANKINCENSE OIL - Olibanum GUM
Obtained from the resin secreted plant Boswellia carterii by steam distillation, and other species of the genus Boswellia. To frankincense oil known since antiquity. Mentioned as known in the Bible, because it was given as a gift to Christ at the birth of (incense). It was used in religious ceremonies but long before the birth of Christ.
The main uses are for skin care (treatment of wrinkles and premature aging), and to assist respiratory function in the form of inhalations . Used in massage blends of stretching. Inhaled creates good mental and emotional mood.
