Conifer gymnospermo plant the Juniper (Homewares. name Juniperus) is a genus belonging to the Peykwdwn class and to the family of Kyparissoeidwn with 60 species of aromatic evergreen trees or shrubs. It is known in Greece and with the names of Juniper and Cedar, While in Cyprus called invisible. Has two types of leaves, needle and pointed and ordered every two or three. Some species have small leaves with scales.

From some species comes out oil used in perfumes as well as in pharmaceutical. The dried berries of some species are used in Austria and Germany as karikeyma in cooking. It is believed that Juniper has antiseptic, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, antirreymatikes and stomach due to volatile oil properties that contain fruit. This oil has terpenes, sugar, tar, tannin and resin. It also contains the flavonoid amentoflaboni that purports to act against viruses such as herpes virus. The resin is considered beneficial to the skin as a means against psoriasis. Used against infections, against chronic arthritis, fluid retention, some awareness, heartburn and indigestion.
